Research conducted: One of 7 African hospitals who now use SOPHiA, the artificial intelligence developed by the company, in their medical examinations to improve the diagnosis and care of patients on the continent. These African hospitals have adopted SOPHiA to, regardless of their genomic testing experience, quickly be able to analyze genomic data. This is to identify disease-causing mutations in the genomic profile of their patients and decide on the most appropriate care. As new users of SOPHiA, they join an extensive network of 260 hospitals in 46 countries, sharing clinical observations that feed into a biomedical knowledge base to accelerate diagnosis and care.
